About the Immigrant Perspective Podcast

Where are you really from?

For many of us, this question is more complex than it seems. When it's asked with genuine curiosity, it's an invitation to share a rich history - our culture, traditions, and the journey that brought us to where we are today. Yet, we're all aware of how loaded this question can be. It can sometimes feel like it's meant to highlight a difference, a sense of being "other."

The Immigrant Perspective is a podcast that reclaims this question and transforms it into an opportunity for connection. I'm an immigrant myself, and after almost 40 years in the US, I'm still discovering new parts of my own identity. I believe our stories are a powerful window into the diverse experiences that shape our world, and I've always been captivated by the journeys of others.

This podcast is a space to amplify the voices of immigrants and explore the unique journeys we take. Each episode dives into inspiring stories, challenges, and triumphs of navigating new cultures, identities, and opportunities. You'll hear personal narratives, thought-provoking insights, and meaningful conversations that celebrate the rich tapestry of migration.

Whether you're an immigrant, an ally, or simply curious about the world, my hope is that this podcast offers a fresh perspective and a sense of shared humanity.
